Countryman Press

The Countryman Press maintains a tradition of producing books of substance and quality. The company began in 1973 in Peter and Jane Jennison's Vermont farmhouse kitchen and in 1996 we became a division of W.W. Norton & Company.

The subjects of our books include travel, regional books, photography, food and drink, gardening, country living, nature, humour and crafts. Popular books in these areas include Bicycling Cuba, Switzerland's Mountain Inns, Yosemite and the Southern Sierra Nevada, The Architecture of the Shakers, The Protein Powder Cookbook, The Ultimate Book of Modern Juicing, Cooking with Coconut Oil, Shrubs, The New Complete Guide to Beekeeping, Dogs in Cars, and Universal Fly Tying Guide, to name a few.
