Gays, Lesbians, and their Therapists
Studies in Psychotherapy
20 December 1991
Description
This anthology of case studies collects unique and recurring issues addressed by therapists in support of their gay and lesbian patients.
Each contributor shares a case, focusing not only on the patient's history, dynamics, and treatment, but also on the therapist's countertransference, thus demonstrating how both patient and therapist influence the therapeutic process when the patient and, in many cases, the therapist are gay or lesbian.
