    Jana Prikryl is the author of three previous collections, The After Party, No Matter, and Midwood. Her honors include a Guggenheim Fellowship and an Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Born in the former Czechoslovakia, Prikryl lives in Brooklyn with her son and is the executive editor at The New York Review of Books.
